Armageddon By: Christina Bauer

*Sob* NO MAXON!!! *Sob* this book made me cry and pulled on my heart strings so many times. This book was soooo good. This book made me fall I'm love with the character of Hildy and hate Conner even more than I already did. I mean COME ON!! HIS GRANDSON'S SOUL!?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? This book did not disappoint. HIGHLY recommended.

The Rosie Project By: Graeme Simsion

This book was really good!! I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.  It was sweet and made me feel happy. Rosie is so cool!! I love how her character stays the same and stands her ground. Such a good book!!

Guardian of the Gate By: Michelle Zink

I LIED!! DIMITRI IS MUCH BETTER THAN JAMES!!! This book is really good and intense and romantic. It's everything right in a book. This is, by far, the best sequel I've ever read. This book is definitely a good read!!

Prophecy of the Sisters By: Michelle Zink

This book was really creative. I liked the prophecy and how it brought out the true selves of the sisters. I think it's cute how James keeps chasing his childhood love. Soooo cute!

Anna and the French Kiss By: Stephanie Perkins

This was a read-on-a-whim kind of book. But surprisingly, it was an enjoyable book. I found the main character a bit of whiner but other than that this is a good book. It takes place in Paris (which is fantastic) and is about a girl going to school there. Interesting story.

Just One Night By: Gayle Forman

Now I will say, this is a short novella. This is not a full book. Although this book was nice, it seemed like fluff. Yes it somewhat tied up loose ends. But I would have enjoyed this much more if it was a full length novel.

Neverland By: Anna Katmore

This book was so neat!! I loved the switched roles of Captain Hook and Peter Pan. The backstory to them was phenomenal, and the love in the book was mesmerizing! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Excellent job Anna!

Scala By: Christina Bauer

This book wasn't too bad as far as sequels go. Although, Adair made me want to throw my Kobo across my room quite a lot of the time. It's good to make readers feel things when they read your books, but there's a point when they feel a bit too much. Now that's my only complaint with the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Myla really is a fighter and I like that. Most heroines are weak then get a bit stronger, but not Myla she starts and stays strong. She has a presence in the book that really draws me in. Now I, personally, am someone who isn't a fan of sequels, but this one proved to be better than I expected. Great work Christina.

Angelbound By: Christina Bauer

OH MY GOSH!! This book is fantastic! This book is action packed and romantic, I swooned many times at the hate turned love relationship of Lincoln and Myla. This book is, hands down, the GREATEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN! This is a book I'm sure even guys would love. Myla is a snarky badass and I love it so much!! A masterpiece!!

This is What Happy Looks Like By: Jennifer E. Smith

This story was a book I ate up hungrily. The story was so addicting, it made you want to read more and more till you had finished the book. I found the romance so cute and the emails dorky and fun. The ending was a bit vague, but other than that, a good book.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight By: Jennifer E. Smith

I actually found this book super cute!! I loved the characters and how the story didn't just involve weddings, but funerals too. I escpically loved how the main character forgave her dad. So cute! An enjoyable read.

Fair Warning

My posts are going to start to be a little less due to the fact that I've reviewed all the YA books in my personal library and part of my school's. The books I'm going to be reviewing for the next couple of days/weeks are going to be books that authors send me to review. Cinder & Ella was the first.

Happy Reading!

Pure By: Julianna Baggott

When I first started to read this book I thought this book was kind of boring and typical. Then BAM plot twist to the max!!
This book was Gruesome at times but a very interesting read at others. I really liked the ways the author made realistic choices when writing her book. A good book to read for English class.

Cinder & Ella By: Kelly Oram

    OH IT WAS SO GOOD!!!
I just finished this book 30 seconds ago and I just have to race about this book. This book was genius! I must have sobbed at least 15 times through this book because I just felt so bad for Ellamara. But then there would be these funny and cute moments between her and Cinder would make me laugh so much! I give this book GODLIKE STATUS IN THE WORLD OF BOOKS. This book is a riot! A book of the century for sure!

Heaven By: Alexandra Adornetto

I just finished this book about 10 minutes ago and I have to say, this book was good but not great. She just couldn't too Hades. The closure is good and the loss of the wings is badass but it lacked the luster of Hades. Good. But not great.

Wednesday 15 October 2014

Apologies!!

Sorry guys!! But I haven't finished the book I'm currently reading. But reviews should pop up within the next few days.

Happy Reading!

Authors, authors, and more authors!!

News readers!! Aileen Erin is going to be sending me her new book cipher which just came out today!! She'll be sending it in about 2 weeks when it's available in paperback. Yay!

Happy Reading!!

Nightstar By: Alyson Noël

This book is a bit better but basically only two things happen:

- Haven has a hissy fit about Roman being dead so she tries to kill Damen and Jude.

- Ever kills Haven.

That's it. Come on! What's wrong with having a plotline with more than 2 points? You can, and have, done so much better than that Alyson. Not her est work. But it's not terrible.

Shadowland By: Alyson Noël

I'm sorry, but this book has no substance. The entire plot line is this:

-- Damen and Ever can't be together because Roman screwed up their DNA

-- Damen gives Ever crystals to help her chakras (which do NOTHING)

-- Mystical force field or "layer of energy" is between them so they can somewhat touch.

-- Haven starts to get a hate-on when it comes to Ever.

This book is boring as hell. I don't recommend it. And, luckily you don't need to read it to understand the rest of the series.

Wicked Lovely By: Melissa Marr

I truly enjoyed reading this book. I had heard and read good things about this book but was hesitant. Then I start to read it and BAM! I'm tossed into the life of Aislinn Foy, a girl who can see faeries. But these are no thumbelina faeries. These are hard-core, sneaky, conniving little beasts. But what makes everything better is Seth. Some may not agree, but I think Seth and Aislinn moments make the book great! I think you'll enjoy this book.

More News!

More news guys!! The author Anna Katmore is going to be sending me her book(s) to read and review!!

Happy reading!

Fallen in Love By: Lauren Kate

I'm glad Lauren wrote this book. And I espically like that she didn't just do Luce and Daniel's Valentine's Day story, but the supporting character's stories aswell. Like Arriane's story. It was so sad. Very good read.

Eve By: Anna Carey

I bought this book on a whim. I thought the story sounded interesting, so I was going to try it. I had no idea what I was in for!! This book is a dystopian novel. It was the first I had ever read. I think it was what got me hooked on romance novels. I love how Caleb and Eve interact with each other. Great job Anna!

Hades By: Alexandra Adornetto

What. What? WHAT!?!? HE LITERALLY DRAGS HER TO HELL!?!? This author it wonderful!! She has a true talent when it comes to writing YA Romance! First, she falls in love and is pestered by a fallen angel who wants her. THEN HE OPENS UP THE FREAKING HIGHWAY AND DRIVES INTO HELL ON A MOTORCYCLE WITH BETH AS HIS PRISONER!?!? Talk about badass!! Honestly, I don't even know how Alexandra is gonna too this book. YOU WILL LOVE THIS BOOK!!

Halo By: Alexandra Adornetto

This actually was yet another bargain book I bought at Chapters for maybe $6.00. But I'm very glad I did!! Before I say anything about this book I would like to say that the author was 16 when her book was published. I think that that is a very remarkable thing. Kudos to her! But anyway, this book starts off as these angels coming to this small town to rid it of evil dwellings, blah, blah, blah. But then *plot twist* a fallen angel and a human are both in love with her and are both fighting for her! But one part I don't like is how Xavier gets all moody by seeing that pic of Beth on Facebook. Like come on put your big girl panties on and talk to her first!! But other than that, great book!!

Passion By: Lauren Kate

She goes back in time to see their history together!? This is a massive plot twist. I LOVED IT!! It was such a creative way to explain Luce and Daniel's history. Two thumbs up Lauren. Two thumbs up.

Torment By: Lauren Kate

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was action-packed, romantic, and. Had a kick-ass plot line!! One of the rare sequels that wasn't terrible!! I loved it!! Great job Lauren!! Keep up the good work!! I highly recommend this book!

The Infinite Moment of Us By: Lauren Myracle

I'm sorry if you guys don't agree with this, but this book is terrible!! I will say I read it all the way through just to be sure. But the storyline is crap and the ending is ridiculously stupid!! This is one of the worst books I've ever read. Do not read it!

Friday 10 October 2014

Finale By: Becca Fitzpatrick

A war against fallen angels!? Really!? Then banishing them all to hell!? Are you serious!? This book's title is so accurate because a finale is a huge ending, and this is a huge ending!! This series was worth the read for the ending of this book. ITS ADORABLE!!! A must read!!

Fallen By: Lauren Kate

I actually got this as an impulse book buy/grading present. And I convinced my dad to get me the second one aswell. I have only one thing to say, best. Buy. EVER! This is another fallen angel book, but it's on a new take. It changes how you look at the banishing of the angels from heaven. This book is a GREAT BOOK!! I highly recommend this book!

Silence By: Becca Fitzpatrick

Amnesia!? Really!? Becca Fitzpatrick you genius!! That was the biggest plot twist I had ever read!! And one of the best!! That book was equal parts sexy and thrilling!! You would be crazy not to read it!!

Thursday 9 October 2014

Crescendo By: Becca Fitzpatrick

I found this as a sort of foreshadowing book for the rest of the series. Although this book was good, it wasn't fantastic like the book before it. I think it would be best for you to read this book so you can understand what happens in the rest of the series and who Rixon is.

Hush hush By: Becca Fitzpatrick

THIS BOOK IS VERY CLOSE TO PERFECTION!!! I love this story! Definitely one of my favorites!! I just find this book so unique and ridiculously well-written! A true Jem! You'll enjoy! I promise!

Swear By: Nina Malkin

This is the sequel to Swoon and I am so glad they made it! I love how Dice's story continues! And oh. My. Glob. Sin's backstory is so good!! Perfection! Worth the read!

Swoon By: Nina Malkin

I actually got this as a bargain book. It was one of those compulsive book buys. But it actually turned out to be a really good book!! The storyline made complete sense without being predictable or boring. And I loved the characters! Wonderful!

News!

I have something exciting to tell you!! Raincoast Publishing is going to be sending me a book to review! I'm so excited! I'll update you guys when I know more!

Happy reading!

Tuesday 7 October 2014

Haven By: Kristi Cook

I just finished this book today, and all I have to say is wow! I loved this book! It was such an interesting way to look at vampirism. And the school is one I would LOVE to be in! Wonderful!

Monday 6 October 2014

Scarlet By: Marissa Meyer

This is the coolest book series ever! First Cinderella, now red riding hood!? And they're in the same series! This is do cool! The re-telling is clear and not confusing. A great book to read!

Cinder By: Marissa Meyer

This is the most interesting and unique re-telling of Cinderella I've ever read. The characters were vivid and the world real. This was an enchanting story full of bravery, risk, and love. A true Jem.

City of Heavenly Fire By: Cassandra Clare

Really Jace? Condoms in a demon realm? But anyways. WHAT AN ENDING! This book leaves no loose ends and wraps up the series perfectly. But now that it's over I'm kind of sad. But worth the read!

City of Lost Souls By: Cassandra Clare

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE IT GOT BETTER!? This book. I. Just. I have no words to explain how I feel about this besides, "SEBASTIAN NO! INCEST IS NOT OKAY!" That may sound weird but Clary kicks his butt so it's okay. I loved this book!

City of Fallen Angels By: Cassandra Clare

THIS BOOK WAS WORTH THE YEAR LONG WAIT!! This book is such a plot twist it is crazy!! Through the whole book my eyes were wide and I kept saying "What!?" At every turn! Such. A. Good. Book.

City of Glass By: Cassandra Clare

This book was originally supposed to be the final book in a trilogy, but there was such a demand on a continuation it turned into a series. Now, personally, I asked for more. But this book is amazing!! A true page-turner!! It is full of action and hidden secrets! A perfect continuation!

City of Ashes By: Cassandra Clare

This book was almost as good as the first but not quite. A lot of readers found this book hard to follow, but I found it fine. I guess it's a matter of opinion. But this book is good to read because it has major parts in the story that the characters come back to later in the series.

City of Bones By: Cassandra Clare

This is a special book to me. This was the book that turned me into the heavy reader I am today. This book has it all; romance, ass-kicking, struggle, mystery, adventure, and fantasy. This is the kind of book that brings many people together to read a masterpiece like this. Brilliant!

Review amount

Okay, so you guys know I'm not going to be publishing as many reviews during the week as I have school. But on the weekend the reviews I release will increase considerably.

Just a general notification. Happy reading!

Clockwork Princess By: Cassandra Clare

OH. MY. GLOB. This book it so amazing!!! I thought C.P. Was good, I hadn't seen anything yet!! This book is perfection! Tessa turns into a freaking angel (literally!) like, you can't top that! READ IT!!

Clockwork Prince By: Cassandra Clare

I found this book greatly satisfying. And not just because Nate was killed. I found it perfect because I am a Jessa shipper (Jem x Tessa). Also, I found it very interesting that they solved Will's backstory. Overall, a very good book.

Dark Flame By: Alyson Noël

I'm sorry but, I found this book so ridiculous and boring. Now, I think Alyson Noël is a phenomenal author, but this is not her best work. I would not recommend this book.

Eleanor and Park By: Rainbow Rowell

I just have to say, this book will make you cry. But before you reject this book, you must know that there is so much happy and romance before that it make it all worth it. This book is set in 1986 and honestly, I find that really cool! There aren't many YA romance books that do that. And Rainbow made this one work so well! Pure magic.

Fangirl By: Rainbow Rowell

This is a neat book! Rainbow Rowell actually puts fan fiction in the story on top of the main book! This story is all about Cather and how she's struggling to fit in at her new university. But she soon meets a boy. This is a quirky and cute book. You'll enjoy it! I promise!

Friday 3 October 2014

Evermore By: Alyson Noël

I actually read this series the wrong way. I read the second book first then this one. But I'm going to be honest, I liked the second book more. This book frustrates me because I find the main character, Ever, is very selfish and melo dramatic. But most of the series is a good read. I'd recommend this book just so you understand the rest of the series.

Clockwork Angel By: Cassandra Clare

I actually read this book quite awhile ago, but it's just such a good book so I just have to review it! This book, when I first picked it up, seemed a bit boring. But it was an impulse book buy. But about two weeks later I started reading it. I swear, this was one of the worst cases of judging a book by its cover. This book is a diamond in the rough. Soooo good!!

Fateful By: Claudia Gray

I'm going to state this now, this is a really cool book! It's such a creative and unique book idea. I love it! What first drew me in was the fact that it was a romance on the titanic. Two of my favorite subjects! Once I started reading this, I just found it so facinating that I had to see what would happen next! A truly unique and wonderful read!

A Beautiful Wedding By: Jamie McGuire

This is probably the very first novella I've ever read. If all novella's are like this one I'm going to be reading them a lot more. A Beautiful Wedding is everything that happened in Vegas after the fire. The why's, how's, all of it is supposed to answered.
And all of it was. For such a short book it sure got my blood pumping. Jamie McGuire carried the story over beautifully. I found no plot holes, No parts that didn't make sense. Nothing felt like it was thrown in there. It felt more like a very long epilogue.
This book is a good filler. It's great for answering all those questions but it's not necessary to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it seemed a bit pointless. Why not just put this all in the book?

Walking Disaster By: Jamie McGuire

There are many ways to continue a story that is utterly brilliant. Sequels, prequels, and spin-offs are some of the more conventional options. Not many follow the route of taking the original story and completely flipping it around. Jamie McGuire tends to step outside the norms when it comes to her writing. She has yet again surprised me.
Walking Disaster follows the same timeline and events as Beautiful Disaster but it is all told from Travis's perspective. How did he feel when he found Pigeon gone? Why did he act the way he did in Vegas? How heartbroken was he when Abby chose Parker? We know Abby's side of the story. Now it's time to hear Travis's. Walking Disaster gives an insight that Beautiful Disaster only hinted at. For a book that mirrors the same story as Beautiful Disaster it's like reading a completely new book.
Jamie McGuire ruined me for normal guys forever. I will never be able to look at guys the same way thanks to the whirl-wind that is Travis Maddox. Jamie McGuire did something magical when she wrote Walking Disaster. She took an already developed plot and made it completely new. The important events are still there, but the book is littered with Travis moments that Beautiful Disaster never even conceived. It can be hard to re write characters that already developed the last time you wrote about them. To start the characters with a clean slate again and keeping from getting ahead of yourself in the writing process is true talent. Jamie left me with high hopes and she surpassed them by a long shot.
This book is the start of something wonderful. I hope Jamie continues with the Maddox story. It is a gem that will never need to be polished. A book that constantly shines.
